Spinach Dal (Palakura Pappu)

                  Thoor  dal (కందిపప్పు  మరియు  lentils)- 1  cup
                   Fresh spinach (పాలకూర) -1  bunch (ఒక కట్ట)
                                    Water -3 cups
                  Turmeric(పసుపు )-1/2tsp ; ; Tamarind -6  tbsp
                                          Onions -1
 Green  chillies -5  ; Oil-2tbsp  ; Mustard seeds-1tsp  ; Cumin seeds-1tsp 
                                         Urad dal-1tsp
  Dried red chilies (broken into small pieces )-3  ;  Fresh curry leaves-5
                                    Red chile powder -1tsp   ;
                                           Salt to taste


                                       

Preparation :


 1. Wash and pressure cook dal , palak  , tamarind , chopped onions,green chillies,turmeric together with  3  cups of water till 3 whistles .

2. When the pressure is released, remove the lid add salt .

3. Heat oil in a Pan add mustard seeds, jeera ,red chillies,curry leaves and fry them to turn brown .

4. Now add dal to this and cook in low heat with lid covered for 5 minutes.



5. Serve hot with rice,ghee.....
