" DOUBLE KA MEETHA" (BREAD PUDDING)

 Ingredients :


     loaf of White Bread
    1/2 lt Milk
    1 cup Sugar
    1 cup water
     Ghee
     Nuts and raisins
     pinch of Cardamom powdered
     few strands of saffron to garnish
   

Preparation:
• Cut each bread slice into four pieces. Fry them in ghee till golden brown• Boil  1cup of water and sugar. Add the powdered cardamom. Allow it to form a syrup. Keep aside.
• Boil milk until it is thickened.
• Arrange the fried bread pieces on a flat tray. Pour the sugar syrup, milk alternately over the bread pieces while they are still hot.
• Garnish with the nuts, raisins, saffron. Can serve it hot or cold.
